- 1). Set the Roomba's battery correctly on it if the battery does not appear to charge. You should hear two clicks when you insert the battery. The green light on the charging brick should light up and the power indicator should pulse. If not, also try plugging the charger into the Roomba robot.
- 2). Clean the cliff sensors underneath the Roomba's bumper with a cotton swab or compressed air if the Roomba repeatedly starts and stops or spins in place.
- 3). Plug in the home base. Check that the power light is on and keep it on a flat, even surface if Roomba has a difficult time getting back to the home base. If your home is large, finding the home base may prove more difficult for the Roomba. Reposition the home base until Roomba is able to return to the home base easily.
- 4). Place your Roomba 8 feet away from the home base if it does not respond to Scheduler commands. Turn off any Virtual Walls. Point the Scheduler at Roomba while using it.
