How to Lift an Old Coffee Stain out of a Tablecloth

    • 1). Remove the tablecloth from your table and bring it to a surface that will not be damaged by moisture, such as your kitchen countertop.

    • 2). Run a sponge under cool water in your sink, and dab the old coffee stain repeatedly. This can help lift up at least some of the stain.

    • 3). Fill the sink with cool water and place the area of the tablecloth with the coffee stain inside. Let it soak for at least half an hour.

    • 4). Fill a container with 2 cups of cool water and 1 tbsp. of dish soap. Use your sponge to dab the stain with this new cleaning solution after the tablecloth soaks. This can help remove even more of the stain.

    • 5). Cover the old coffee stains in a pre-treat stain remover product. Wait about 10 minutes and then wash in your washing machine with cool water. If it's safe for the tablecloth fabric, add about a half a capful of bleach to the wash.
