- 1). Remove the venetian blind from the blind brackets and set it aside.
- 2). Remove the screws that are securing the blind brackets and remove both of them.
- 3). Mark where you would like to place your left bracket. Depending on your taste, you may want to hang the blinds so that they will be flush with the wall or you may want to put them closer to the window. Be careful not to place the blinds too close to the window as this may cause it to bang against the glass. Measure the placement of the marks.
- 4). Repeat Step Three on the right side of the window.
- 5). Place the left side of the level at one mark and the right side of the level at the right mark to ensure that it will make a perfectly straight line. If your level is not long enough, draw a straight line from one mark to the other with a long ruler. Place the level along the line to ensure that it is perfectly straight.
- 6). Place the left bracket so that its opening is facing the room and is flush against the mark. Screw the bracket in place.
- 7). Repeat Step Six with the right bracket.
- 8). Place the left side of the level on the surface of the left bracket and the right side of the level on the right bracket. Check to make sure it is straight. If your level is not long enough, skip to Step Nine.
- 9). Push the blind back into the brackets. Lay the level across the top of the blind to finally check to ensure that it is perfectly straight.
