- 1). Install the Sheetrock so it does not overlap at the corner. You should see a 90-degree triangular-shaped gap at the corner. Because your wall corner will be round, you need to determine if you will be attaching a baseboard to the wall. If so, you need to install a baseboard adaptor that will fill in the round gap created by the installed corner bead.
- 2). Determine the height of your baseboard. This can be complicated if the finished floor is not already installed. Add the height of the finished floor, plus the height of the baseboard, and cut the baseboard adaptor with tin snips at that height.
- 3). Shake the spray adhesive to mix it well. Spray the adhesive on the corner just above the floor. Spray the sheet rock approximately 6 inches high and 2 inches along each Sheetrock wall. Spray the inside of the cut adaptor.
- 4). Fit the adaptor to the corner so that the bottom of the baseboard section touches the floor. Press the adaptor into the adhesive for 15 seconds, then pull the adaptor back off for 15 seconds. This will allow the adhesive to become more tacky and bond more quickly. Press the adaptor back into place and it will attach to the lower corner of the Sheetrock.
- 5). Measure the height of the wall corner from the ceiling to the baseboard adaptor. Cut the corner bead with tin snips.
- 6). Spray the adhesive into the corner and along 2 inches of the Sheetrock on each wall. Spray the adhesive into the corner beading. Press the corner bead into position for 15 seconds. Pull the corner bead away for 15 seconds, then press it firmly into place.
