- 1). Lift the hood of the Camry.
- 2). Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. Use a wrench to loosen the nut that holds the cable's clamp around the negative battery lead post. Remove the clamp from the post and rest the cable away from the battery. Move to the inside of the Toyota.
- 3). Pull the ashtray from its compartment to provide room to grab the dashboard trim panel that surrounds the stereo and climate control panel.
- 4). Grab the bottom of the panel and pull it away from the dashboard. The center trim panel will snap away from the dashboard.
- 5). Remove the four bolts around the perimeter of the stereo mount with a 10 mm socket and drive.
- 6). Pull the stereo mounting bracket from the dock in the dashboard of the Camry.
- 7). Unplug the stereo wiring from the back of the radio. The speaker wiring and power supply are grouped together by white plastic wire binders. The antenna cable is a single black cord connected to the right side of the stereo's rear panel.
- 8). Remove the four screws on either side of the bracket to remove the stereo and spacer. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver or an 8 mm socket and ratchet.
- 9). Place the new stereo and spacer into the bracket. Replace the screws on the sides of the bracket to secure the radio and spacer to the bracket.

Plug the stereo wiring into a wiring harness adapter. The adapter will be labeled to show where the appropriate connections are to be made. Plug the wiring harness adapter leads into the outlets on the rear panel of the new stereo. Plug the antenna cable into the corresponding outlet on the back of the aftermarket radio. - 11
Slide the bracket (with new stereo and spacer included) into the Camry's stereo mounting dock. Replace the four 10 mm bolts at the corners to secure the bracket into the dock. - 12
Place the trim panel around the stereo an climate controls and press around the perimeter to snap the panel onto the dashboard. Close the ashtray. Return to the Toyota's battery. - 13
Place the negative battery cable clamp onto the Toyota's negative battery terminal lead. Tighten the cable's clamp to the terminal with the wrench. - 14
Close the Toyota Camry's hood.
