- 1). Draw any image you wish with a lot of different sections that will need to be painted. Outline all of these sections in pen.
- 2). Within each of these sections, place a different math problem. The answer to that math problem should be written on another sheet of paper with a different color corresponding to it that should be painted in that space. Every answer number will correspond to a color, so that all sections resulting in the same number will ultimately be colored the same. For example, a couple of different problems could both have the answer of 7, which could correspond to the color green.
- 3). Make copies of these sheets of paper and staple them together. Supply students with the appropriate colors and brushes. Have the correctly painted picture as your grading guide and score each student's painting based upon whether or not they painted them the correct color, meaning they came up with the correct math solution to the problem in each section.
