How to Open Each Folder in the Same Window

    • 1). Click once on the “Start” menu button, which is located on the taskbar.

    • 2). Find the “Control Panel.” Click once on it and the “Control Panel” window will pop up.

    • 3). Click twice on “Folder Options.” The “Folder Options” window will pop up. You will see four tabs. One tab will have the word “General” on it. The second tab will have the word “View” on it. The other tab will have the words “File Types” on it. The last tab will have the words “Offline Files” on it.

    • 4). Click on the “General” tab. You will see three subheadings. One will be “Tasks” while the another will be “Browser folders.” The third on will be “Click items as follows.”

    • 5). Look for the “Browse folders” subheading. You will see two options available for you to check inside a small circle in front of the options. The two options will be “Open each folder in the same window” and “Open each folder in its own window.”

    • 6). Click “Open each folder in the same window” by clicking inside the little circle in front of the “Open each folder in the same window” option.

    • 7). Click the “Apply” button at the bottom on the right side of the “Folder Options” tab.

    • 8). Click "OK". Close the “Control Panel” window.
