How to Set Up a Proxy Server on Windows Vista

    • 1). Open Internet Explorer and click the "Tools" menu at the top of the screen. Select "Internet Options" to open the Internet Options configuration box.

    • 2). Move to the "Connections" tab and click the "LAN Settings" button.

    • 3). Locate the "Proxy Server" section. Check off the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" box.

    • 4). Type the proxy server's address into the "Address" box and the server's port number into the "Port" box.

    • 5). Click the "OK" button to close the window.
