- 1). Squeeze a liberal amount of ink onto your work surface. Roll one of your brayers back and forth on top of the pile of ink. Apply firm and even pressure until the roller is evenly coated with ink.
- 2). Set your stamp or block image side up. Starting in the middle, carefully roll the brayer up and down over the surface. Apply even pressure but do not press too hard, as this will force the ink into the grooves of the stamp and produce a blurry print.
- 3). Set the stamp on a table with the ink side facing up. Gently lay the piece of paper on top of the stamp.
- 4). Gently roll the un-used brayer over the paper, applying light and even pressure. Carefully peel the paper off the stamp and let the ink dry.
