How to Remove Odor From Metal

    Vinegar

    • 1). Mix 1 cup of warm water with 1 cup of white or apple cider vinegar.

    • 2). Use a soft cloth to rub the mixture into the metal. Allow the mixture to dry on the metal.

    • 3). Wet a soft cloth with warm water and wipe away the vinegar.

    • 4). Use a towel to dry the metal so it doesn't get water spots.

    Baking Soda

    • 1). Mix equal parts of baking soda and water to create a paste-like consistency. If the paste is watery, add more baking soda; if the paste is too thick, add more water.

    • 2). Rub the paste onto the metal using a soft cloth. Allow the paste to dry on the metal

    • 3). Dip a soft cloth in warm water and wipe away the paste. For strong smells, dip a soft cloth in white vinegar and wipe away the paste. Dip a soft cloth in warm water and wipe away the vinegar.

    • 4). Dry the metal with a towel to prevent water spotting.
