Hi, I'm Paula Pierce, and this is how to hand embroider on a T-shirt. Adding hand embroidery to a T-shirt is a fun way to add a cute design. To do this project you will need a T-shirt in your choice of color. You will need some type of wash-away stabilizer usually found in the fabric store. You will need embroidery floss, a needle and some scissors. The stabilizer that I chose was specially designed to work with your printer. So I've printed my design directly on it before adhering it to the fabric. You may also dry on your design. This fabric had an adhesive backing, so I simply peeled it and stuck it down. Some stabilizers may need to be ironed on. Then simply fill in your design with embroidery stitches. Wash your T-shirt and your stabilizer will wash away, leaving your beautiful design.
