How to Reload the Windows XP Operating System

    • 1). Back up your files.

    • 2). Insert your Windows XP CD into the computer drive.

    • 3). Shut down your computer.

    • 4). Turn on your computer. On start up, look for the message, "Press Any Key To Boot From CD" and press "Enter" on your keyboard. You should see the blue "Welcome To Setup" screen.

    • 5). Click "Enter" on the "Welcome to Setup" screen. Read the "Microsoft Software License Terms", then press "F8".

    • 6). Select the disk partition on which you want to reinstall Windows XP. Keep following the instructions until Windows XP setup is complete.
