Ottoman

• 1). Spray paint your milk crate to a color that either matches or complements your pillow color, using several light coats instead of one thick coat. This step is optional.
  
  
• 2). Cut your ribbon into four 1-foot lengths. Hand sew the middle of these ribbons to the underside of the cushion, placing one toward each of the cushion’s four corners.
  
  
• 3). Lay the pillow on the ground, ribbon side facing up. Place the crate on top of the pillow, open side up, matching the edges of the crate to the edges of the pillow.
  
  
• 4). Tie the ribbons to the crate, attaching the pillow to the closed side of the crate. Flip over to use as an ottoman.
  
  

Entertainment center

• 1). Sand your pallet, then seal it with polyurethane or paint it with latex paint.
  
  
• 2). Drill pilot holes for your casters in each corner of the pallet. Attach your casters to these pilot holes using the screws that were included in the caster packaging.
  
  
• 3). Flip over your pallet and place your television and other electronics on top to begin using it as an entertainment center; slender electronics can be placed in the open center area of the pallet.
  
  

Headboard

• 1). Sand the door, then paint it. Allow paint to dry before continuing.
  
  
• 2). Cut the board to the width of your door when it is turned on its side. Cut it again into two equal, wedge-shaped pieces; cut lengthwise to get two long wedges.
  
  
• 3). Find a stud in the area where you want to place the head of your bed and screw one wedge directly to it, flat side facing up and horizontal. Screw the other wedge to the appropriate place on the back of the door, flat side facing down and horizontal.
  
  
• 4). Hang the headboard against the wall, using these wedges as ledges.
