How to Remove Lime Stains From Porcelain

    • 1). Open a window or use a fan before attempting to remove the lime stain to give yourself proper ventilation and remove cleaning odors.

    • 2). Place a paper towel in vinegar. Position it on top of the lime stain and allow it to sit for 15 to 20 seconds so that this acid solution can penetrate the stain. This milder acid is an ideal option for porcelain because this glass coating can eventually wear away with harsher mixes.

    • 3). Remove the paper towel and use a nylon brush to scrub the stained area to get rid of the lime scale.

    • 4). Use a hydrogen peroxide bleach if the stain is not completely gone after the vinegar application. Pour bleach on the lime area and only let it sit for a few seconds before washing it away with water.
