- 1). Draw a chart with two rows and four columns. On the left, one row is labeled “Acids” and the other row is labeled “Bases.” Leave room on top of each column to label the column with an attribute that distinguishes an acid from a base.
- 2). Label the first column “Feel.” In the Acid row, write “Will cause burning in any small cuts.” In the Base row, write “Feels slippery.”
- 3). Write “Taste” to label the second column. In the Acid row of this column write “Sour.” In the Bases row, write “Bitter.”
- 4). Put “Litmus paper” as the third label. In this column, in the Acid row, write “Red.” In the Bases row, write “Blue.”
- 5). Choose “Ph” as the last label. In the Acid row, write “Less than 7.” In the Bases row write “More than 7.”
