- 1). Combine 1/4 cup of distilled white vinegar and 1 gallon of water. Spray the solution on the tub and shower surfaces, wait three to five minutes and wipe the area clean with a rag or sponge.
- 2). Combine 3 cups of baking soda and 1 cup of warm water to make a smooth paste effective for cleaning grout. Dip a toothbrush or nylon brush in the paste and use it to clean the grout. Rinse the area after cleaning.
- 3). Combine 1/4 cup of bleach and 1 gallon of water. Spray on the moldy areas of your tub and shower and let it soak for one hour. Then scrub the area clean with a rag or nylon brush, applying more of the bleach solution if necessary. Rinse afterward. Alternatively, use equal parts of water and a 3 percent hydrogen peroxide solution to remove mold.
- 4). Sprinkle baking soda on a wet rag and wipe down your tub and shower. Rinse after cleaning.
