- 1). Remove the sheet from the bed. Take the sheet to the washing machine and place the area with the fingernail polish face up on the washing machine.
- 2). Pour some fingernail polish remover on the spill. Blot the stain with cotton balls to lift the polish a small bit at a time. When one cotton ball has fingernail polish on it, use another until the last cotton ball does not absorb any polish.
- 3). Examine the stain to see if it is entirely clean. If the sheet still has some of the polish color on it, treat it with laundry stain remover. Spray the stain remover on the area. Let the stain remover soak in and wash in the washing machine as normal.
- 4). Check the sheet again after washing to see if the stain is still visible. If it is visible, retreat with laundry stain remover and rewash.
- 1). Remove the sheet from the bed and fold so the stain in on the top. Mix a solution of 50 percent water and 50 percent hydrogen peroxide in a container. Pour on the fingernail polish to saturate the area.
- 2). Take the sheet outside and place in a sunny area. The hydrogen peroxide bubbles stains out of fabrics.
- 3). Keep the spot wet with the solution while in the sun. Leave the sheet in the sun for one to two hours or until the stain is no longer visible.
