How to Setup Windows to Boot From a CD

    • 1). Restart your computer. During the splash screen (the large logo that is displayed when you first turn your computer on), press the button required to access your computer BIOS. This is usually the "F2" key. Most motherboards display this button on the splash screen, however, it can also be found in your motherboard manual.

    • 2). Go to the "BOOT" section of the BIOS. Change the primary boot device from hard drive to CD ROM.

    • 3). Save the settings and exit the BIOS. The computer will restart.

    • 4). Insert the disc that you want to boot from. On the "Press any key to boot from CD" screen, press the "Enter" key. The CD will begin to run. When you are finished, you can retrace these steps to set to hard drive back to the primary boot device if you so choose.
