- 1). Load iTunes from your computer or your iPhone 3G. Download the Cydia application. Connect your iPhone to your computer via the USB sync cable and sync the application to your iPhone if you chose to download with your computer.
- 2). Load the Cydia application and click the sources option. Press edit at the top right hand corner of the application and click the add button at the top left in the next screen. Type in http://apt.dmytro.me in the text box and tap the add source option. Press the return to Cydia option.
- 3). Select done at the top right hand corner and locate http://apt.dmytro.me in the list of sources. Tap on it. Tap on the USB Drive application and press the install option. Press confirm to install the application on your iPhone.
- 4). Exit Cydia by pressing the home button below the touch screen once it finishes installing.
- 1). Tap on the USB Drive application and wait for it to load. Press the "Create Disk" option at the bottom. Enter a name into the text box and drag the bar right below the text box to set aside memory for the USB drive.
- 2). Select an option for synchronization. Drive + iTunes will allow everything to work, however, you cannot use it as a USB drive directly in Windows. Default mode is the default setting you set the iPhone on. Drive mode will allow for you to directly use the iPhone as an USB via a USB sync cable. However, you will not be able to synchronize with iTunes. Choose the Drive mode.
- 3). Press reboot and use your iPhone as an USB with any computer that has an available USB port.
