Fixing the Problem Podcast in iTunes

• 1). Open iTunes on your computer.
  
  
• 2). Click on "Music" below the "Library" option on the left-hand side of the iTunes library.
  
  
• 3). Find the problem file in your music library by using the scroll bar on the far right side of iTunes or by typing in the search bar in the top right corner of iTunes. When you find the problem file, click on it to highlight it.
  
  
• 4). Click on the "File" option in the main control menu at the top of iTunes. Click on it and scroll down to "Get Info."
  
  
• 5). Click on the "Options" tab in the top of the popup window.
  
  
• 6). Click on the arrows next to "Media Kind" and click on the "podcast" option.
  
  
• 7). Click on the "OK" button in the bottom right corner of the popup window. This will change the file from a music file to a podcast and it will now appear in the podcast file in your iTunes library.
  
  

Remove the Problem Podcast from Your iPod

• 1). Connect your iPod to your computer using the dock connector to USB cable that comes with your iPod.
  
  
• 2). Open iTunes on your computer if it doesn't automatically launch when you connect your iPod. When your computer recognizes your iPod, an iPod icon will appear in the device list. The device list is located on the left-hand side of the iTunes interface, below the "Store" and "Library" menus.
  
  
• 3). Click on "Music" below the iPod icon in the device list.
  
  
• 4). Search your iPod's music library for the problem file.
  
  
• 5). Click on the file and press either the backspace or delete key on your keyboard to delete the file from your iPod.
  
  

Add the Corrected Podcast File to Your iPod

• 1). Connect your iPod to your computer with the supplied dock connector to USB cable.
  
  
• 2). Open the iTunes software on your computer if it doesn't open automatically when your iPod is connected to your computer. When your iPod recognizes that your iPod is connected, an iPod icon will appear in the device list, which is located in the left control pane of the iTunes interface.
  
  
• 3). Click on "Podcasts" below the library option in the top left corner of iTunes.
  
  
• 4). Click on the corrected podcast and drag it to the iPod icon in the device list. Once it copies to your iPod, it will show up under "Podcasts" on your iPod.
