- 1). Click "Go" at the top of the screen on your Macintosh computer, and click Applications from the submenu. Double-click the iTunes icon to run the program. On your Windows PC, double-click the iTunes icon on the desktop or click "Start" in the lower-left corner of the screen, and click "All Programs," "Apple" and "iTunes."
- 2). Connect the iPod to your computer by inserting the USB cable into the computer's USB port and into the bottom of the iPod.
- 3). Click the "iPod" tab located under the "Devices" section, and check the box next to "Manually manage music and videos" in the "Summary" section.
- 4). Click the "Apply" button to save the iPod settings, and select the "Music" tab in the iTunes source list.
- 5). Drag and drop songs from the Music section to the iPod tab in the iTunes source list. Hold down the "Shift" key while clicking a song to highlight more than one at a time.
- 6). Click the "Eject" icon on the iPod tab in the iTunes source list to disconnect the iPod from the computer.
- 1). Open the iTunes program on your computer, and connect the iPod to your computer by inserting the USB cable into the computer's USB port and into the bottom of the iPod.
- 2). Click the iPod tab in the iTunes source list, and select "Manually manage music and videos" in the Summary section. Click "Apply" to save the settings.
- 3). Click the arrow next to the iPod tab, and click the Music tab underneath it to access your iPod's music library.
- 4). Click on song you wish to delete to highlight it, and press the "Delete" or "Backspace" key on your keyboard.
- 5). Click "Remove" on the pop-up box to confirm the deletion. Click the "Eject" icon next to the iPod tab to disconnect.
