Remember: Before you can install a filter into the Photos app, you will need to download a photo-editing app from the App Store that offers the ability to extend itself to the Photos app. If you don't have one yet, you can try out Litely, which is a popular photo filter.
How to Install a Custom Keyboard on Your iPad
Here's how to install a photo filter into the Photos app:
- First, open the Photos app.
- Next, select a photo. If you aren't planning on editing a photo, just select a random one for now.
- When the photo is full screen, tap the 'Edit' button in the top-right corner of the screen. This will put the photo in editing mode.
- To install a photo filter, tap the button that looks like three dots with a circle drawn around them. This is the "More Options" button and it is located on the left side, just below the other photo editing buttons.
- If you already have a filter installed, it will appear in the pop up window that appears. The last icon in this window is the More button.
- Tap the More button to bring up a list of available filters. These widgets can be used to edit the photo in various ways. Remember, you need to have the app installed for the widget to appear. To activate a filter or photo widget, tap the switch to the right of the app's name. When the filter is turned on, the switch will be green. Tap the Done button at the top-right corner of the screen when you have turned on the filters you want to use.
- The app will now appear in the pop-up window. Simply tap the icon to activate the app. The app's interface will appear, allowing you to edit the photo you have selected.
