How to Update and Sync to the PC

    Windows Update

    • 1). Click the "Start" button and then click on the "Search" option in the menu. Type "Update" into the box and then press the "Enter" button.

    • 2). Wait for the icon to appear and then click on the Windows Update icon from the menu.

    • 3). Click the "Check for updates" option on the left side of the software menu and wait for the updates to appear on the screen.

    • 4). Click the "Install Updates" icon and wait for the updates to install. Depending on how many updates need to be installed, this could take up to an hour to complete. Look at the progress bar for an estimated time of completion.

    • 5). Click the "Restart" option when prompted to restart your system. Once the system has restarted, the updates will be installed.

    Using HotSync

    • 1). Connect your device to the cradle that came with it on purchase. Make sure the cradle is connected to the USB port on your computer.

    • 2). Double-click on the "HotSync Manager" software icon on your desktop to launch the software.

    • 3). Wait for the software to recognize your device. This should take about 10 seconds. Your device will show up in the window after it has recognized it.

    • 4). Click on the "Sync" button at the top of the software to sync your device.

    • 5). Wait for the sync to complete. This should take about 1 minute to complete. Refer to the progress bar at the bottom of the software for an estimated time.
