How to Safely Clean Grout

    • 1). Fill a pail with warm or hot water. Add a scoop of powdered oxygen bleach to the water, or in quantities directed by the manufacturer. Stir the mixture well until the powder dissolves.

    • 2). Apply oxygen bleach mixture until the grout is saturated. Use a spray bottle for wall grout. Pour the mixture directly onto floor tile grout.

    • 3). Wait 15 to 30 minutes to allow the oxygen ions to work. Spray or pour additional mixture if grout appears to be drying.

    • 4). Scrub soiled grout with a scrub brush. Add oxygen bleach mixture as needed to keep grout wet.

    • 5). Repeat the process for up to six hours until grout is clean. Wipe clean with a damp sponge or a clean mop.
