- 1). Connect the high pressure tubing to the output of the water pump and the input of the reverse osmosis filter.
- 2). Connect a piece of tubing from the filter waste output to the waste water drain and one from the filtered water output to the clean water reservoir. If a single filter does not reduce the contaminates enough, you can run the filtered water output of the first filter into the input of a second filter to reduce the contaminates further. If the pressure drop between the input and filtered output is too high, you will need to place a second pump between the two filters.
- 3). Connect the contaminated water supply to the input of the pump. Turn on the pump. As water flows through the filter, clean water should come out of the filtered output while water with a higher concentration of the contaminates should come out of the waste output. You can connect multiple filters in series (waste output to input) if your have good waste output pressure and still low concentrations of contaminates to increase the production rate of cleaned water.
