Tips For Smoke Odor

    Vinegar

    • Vinegar is a cheap, natural and environmentally friendly way to remove the smoke smell. It is acidic and powerful enough to cut through the tars and resins, which are responsible for causing smoke odors. You can use it on most surfaces and fabrics that have a smoke odor. Though vinegar smells unpleasant it will effectively absorb the smoke odor and the smell of the vinegar eventually goes away.

    Negative Ion Generator

    • These small machines, also known as Ionizers, will help remove the smoke smell by electrically charging the air molecules. It creates negative ions that attach themselves to the positively charged pollutants. As a result, the pollutants in the air become too big to stay in the air and fall to the ground. They will no longer be breathed in, and you home will smell better as a result.

    Baking Soda

    • Lightly dust your furniture and carpets with baking soda. Let it sit for a couple days, and it should absorb the smell. After this, vacuum up the baking soda, and repeat the process a few more times. This process may take a while but you will notice that it is taking away the smoke smell.

    Fresh Air

    • Simply allowing some fresh air into your home is probably the best way to remove the smoke odor. Open each of your windows and keep them open for a day.
