Possum Creek MetroPark

• Multiple ponds and a lake situated on more than 550 acres of land attract locals and tourists to the Possum Creek MetroPark on an annual basis. Open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. from April 1 to Oct. 31, and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Nov. 1 to March 31, the Possum Creek MetroPark accommodates nearly any angler's schedule. Spring Lakes Park

• Located only 15 miles away from the heart of Dayton, Spring Lakes Park in Bellbrook features a regularly stocked lake that is teeming with trout and catfish. While anglers aren't required to possess a valid state fishing license, all individuals wishing to fish at Spring Lakes Park must obtain a Greene County fishing permit. The only exception to this is children aged 12 and under. A bait house, picnic area and grills are all available on the premises of Spring Lakes Park.

Rainbow Lakes

• A family owned and operated business, Rainbow Lakes features 10 public fishing ponds that can be accessed for a small fee. Types of stocked fish at Rainbow Lakes include trout, carp, catfish, bullhead, panfish and bluegill. • Located in downtown Middletown, the Middletown Sportsman's Club features members-only fishing in its fully stocked, private lake. Tournaments and competitions are also held here on a regular basis, many of which are open to the public.
