While anglers aren't required to possess a valid state fishing license, all individuals wishing to fish at Spring Lakes Park must obtain a Greene County fishing permit. The only exception to this is children aged 12 and under. A bait house, picnic area and grills are all available on the premises of Spring Lakes Park.

Tournaments and competitions are also held here on a regular basis, many of which are open to the public.
