Alagnak River

• Alagnak River is known for its abundance of rainbow trout. The river is also home to Pacific salmon, Arctic grayling and Dolly Varden. A rafting trip down the river allows you to enjoy flowing through canyons and lowland forests while catching glimpses of wildlife as you pursue your favorite game fish. Expect to see animals such as brown bears, moose, wolves and caribou around the river. Alaska Rainbow Adventures offer overnight trips for up to seven days with four to eight anglers. Lake Creek

• Raft trips for salmon and trout fishing in Lake Creek at the Southern part of the state are available for Anchorage anglers. Many guides offer round trip transportation from Anchorage to experience a remote wilderness fishing trip for species such as silver, pink and chum salmon, rainbow trout, and Arctic grayling. Raft through the entire length from Chelatna Lake to Lake Creek and explore a 60-mile wild stretch of remote Alaska.
