- 1). Wash the shark tooth before wrapping. This is important to remove any blood, grime, sand or other bacteria from the surface of the tooth. Wash the tooth in dish soap and hot water, using a soft brush to remove any particles from the surface. Follow this wash with a soak in a solution of one part bleach and four parts water. Allow the tooth to soak for one hour. Remove from the solution and rinse with water. Air dry the tooth on an old towel for 24 hours.
- 2). Cut a piece of wire or string about a foot long. Fold the wire in half.
- 3). Twist the wire about five times about one inch from the top of the loop to seal the loop from the rest of the wire.
- 4). Place the wire in the back of the tooth. Shark teeth are basically "Y" shaped, so place the wire loop in the back center of the "Y."
- 5). Bend the two ends of the wire down the back side of the tooth.
- 6). Bend the wire pieces around the bottom of the "Y" shape one time. The pieces of wire should end up in the back of the tooth, stabilizing the loop piece against the tooth.
- 7). Cross the two wire pieces up over the loop. What was once the left wire should now be the right wire. This will hold the loop in place against the tooth.
- 8). Wrap the ends of the wire around the top part of the two "Y" pieces on the tooth. Wrap each wire around the tooth two or three times.
- 9). Bring any remaining wire back to the loop. Twist the leftover wire around the loop. The top of the wire should look somewhat like an upside down hangman's noose.

Attach the tooth to a necklace or other piece of jewelry.
