- 1). Stop at the visitor center and pick up a map that gives instructions on how to find the different fishing areas. The visitor center can also advise you on which lakes are best for the species you are looking for.
- 2). Have a valid fishing license. If you don't have one, you can purchase one at the visitor center. You can also rent a boat or purchase any fishing supplies you may have forgotten.
- 3). Choose the lake where you'll be fishing and head to the area. Lake 12 is devoted to kids 15 years old and younger. Largemouth bass are most plentiful in Lake 33. Lakes 16, 31 and 32 are devoted to catch-and-release. Head to Lakes 15, 33 or 34 if you want to fish on floating covered docks. For those who wish to stay close to the car, Lakes 6, 15, 33 and 34 have paved ramps, rest rooms and picnic tables near the parking lots.
