Every Tire Fits the Glove

An autoband nowadays is more than just a tire, it has become personal a part of your personality. With tire lids or rims you can add a sporty look, business feel or a crazy appearance to your car.
This article will just focus on the rims since those are the most interesting form of tire decorations of them all. Rims have to fit perfectly in order to be safe. When tire rims are not connected properly to the wheel, your car will be out of balance which is not beneficiary to your tire, car and most off all to your own safety.
Your safety has to be a priority when choosing tire rims. So, before you go out and buy a set of rims, I suggest that you at least consider taking the following steps into account.
1. Know the appropriate rim size. When you have a body kit designed for 16" inch rims you simply cannot use 24" rims. When you do, the tire will scrape against the body of your car and the wheel will not be able to turn left or right.
2. You need to know the speed index of your tires. The speed index is written on the end of the tire side and is always represented by a letter. You can also find the speed index of your tires in your maintenance book. Checking the maximum speed of your tires is vital since not every tire is suited for every speed. You have to choose a tire which fits your driving behavior. If you intend to race against 200 km/hour you should never choose a tire developed for speeds up to 70 km/hour. Besides, choosing a tire with a wrong speed rating could invalidate your insurance.
3. After checking all the technical details, you can start choosing rims based on appearance. Rims exist in every size and can be produced from a number of different materials. Whether you like spinning, square, round or spiked tires in the color yellow, red or black, anything is possible. Rims can differ in looks depending on its material. Alu velgen embody a different style than chrome or metal ones.
4. After you have chosen your favorite set of rims, you can order and buy them.Take into account that it can take a while before you can collect your rims. Not every dealership has a large stock of tire rims and will have to order them as well.
5. Time to place those rims! You cannot place a rime on a tire just like that. You will have to consult a car technician to get the job done. The technician will be able to place your rim onto your wheel with damaging your tire, car or rim. Besides, after placing a set of rims you should always check whether you car is still balanced and only a technician can do that for you.
After the placement and the safety check you are ready to hit the road and flaunt those new rims.
