- 1). Sprinkle baby powder onto a cotton ball. Dab the Expo marker stain on the wall with the powder to absorb oil in the ink.
- 2). Wipe the powder off with a dry cloth. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to remove as much oily residue from the Expo marker stain as possible.
- 3). Spray the remaining Expo marker stain with silicone spray similar to the type you would use to relieve a squeaky door hinge. Cover the stained area with a piece of plastic wrap. Smooth the plastic wrap over the silicone spray–covered marker stain.
- 4). Pour white vinegar onto a clean sponge until it's damp. Remove the plastic wrap from the wall. Blot the wall to remove the silicone spray and loosened Expo marker ink.
- 5). Press a dry cloth onto the wall to absorb moisture and lift the marker stain. Repeatedly alternate steps 4 and 5 until the rest of the Expo marker stain is gone.
