- 1). Fill the washing machine with cold water and add the manufacturer's recommended amount of laundry stain pre-soak to the water. OxiClean works very well on ground-in stains such as grass and dirt. Add clothes detergent as recommended by the brand's instructions.
- 2). Use a sponge to remove as much of the soil and stain as you can. Spray with a stain removal spray such as Spray n Wash. Rub the stain removal spray into the weave of the baseball pants fabric. Allow it to saturate the stains on the pants for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 3). Allow the baseball pants to soak in the washing machine for one to six hours. Do not close your washing machine lid as doing so may agitate or start a cycle.
- 4). After proper soaking time, close the lid on the washing machine and wash the baseball pants as you normally would. Do not dry in the clothes dryer. If the stain has been removed, hang on a clothes line with clothes pins, or hang over the shower curtain to air dry. If the stain persists, continue to the next step.
- 5). Fill the washing machine with cold water and add 2 cups of bleach to the water. Allow the baseball pants to soak for an hour, then wash as usual. Hang to dry.
