How to Grow Chickweed Indoors

    • 1). Fill three-quarters of a plant pot with an all-purpose potting soil. Choose a plant pot that has drainage holes in the bottom, and set it on a tray to catch excess water runoff.

    • 2). Spread the chickweed seeds onto the surface of the soil, spacing each seed approximately 1 inch apart from the others.

    • 3). Spread another 1/4-inch layer of soil on top of the chickweed seeds until they are completely covered.

    • 4). Water the soil in the plant pot until it is completely saturated and water runs out of the bottom drainage holes.

    • 5). Set the plant pot near a window that receives bright sunlight, and keep the top of the soil constantly moist until the chickweed seeds germinate. After germination, reduce watering to only when the top 1 inch of the soil is dry to the touch.
