How to Preserve Rose Oil

    • 1). Place your oils in clean glass jars or vials before storing. Always replace the lid right after use so that the oil does not evaporate. Storing rose oil in plastic can degrade the plastic so that it becomes a part of the oil.

    • 2). Store your oil in a cool, dark place such as your refrigerator for up to a year. After a year, you should discard any unused oil and purchase fresh.

    • 3). Blend your oil with other products you like such as lotions or coconut oil so that a little of the oil will go a long way. The oils can be blended easily with a wooden spoon.

    • 4). Store a blend of coconut oil and rose oil in the refrigerator or in a cool location. Coconut oil has a mild smell of coconut when the jar is first opened, but that smell dissapates quickly, so you don't have to worry about the oil smelling like coconut. Jojoba oil is also a popular oil for blending with rose.
