How to Make Your Own Flounder Rig

    • 1). Tie a three-way swivel on to the end of the line coming out of the rod. Tie the swivel on by the top ring so the center ring sticks out at 90 degrees

    • 2). Cut a 15-inch length of monofilament leader and tie it to the bottom ring. Tie a second three-way swivel to the end of this leader by the top ring, same as with the swivel that's above it.

    • 3). Tie a 12-inch leader to the center ring of each swivel. Tie a hook to the end of each of these leaders.

    • 4). Cut a second 15-inch leader and tie it to the bottom ring of the second swivel. Tie a pyramid sinker to the end of this leader.

    • 5). Bait the hooks and cast the rig out into the water. Let it sit on the bottom until a flounder takes the bait.
