- 1). Scrape away as much of the melted candy from the carpet as possible with the edge of a dull knife.
- 2). Pour 2 cups of warm water into a container. Add 1/2 tsp. of mild liquid dish soap. Stir the water with a spoon to create suds.
- 3). Dip a section of an absorbent, white cloth into the soapy water to saturate it. Press the soapy, wet cloth onto the melted candy for approximately 30 seconds.
- 4). Remove the cloth and wait 15 minutes for the stain to break down. Press a clean dry cloth to the area to blot up the moisture.
- 5). Mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 2 cups of lukewarm water in a container. Agitate the water with your fingers to mix. Dip a portion of an absorbent cloth into the vinegar and water solution.
- 6). Blot the previously treated area with the vinegar-soaked cloth to remove any detergent residue. Flip the cloth over and press it to the area for approximately 15 seconds. Allow to air dry.

- 2). Mix 1/2 cup of mild liquid detergent with 2 cups of warm water. Stir the water with a spoon to mix.
- 3). Saturate an absorbent towel in the soap and water solution. Sponge the stained area with the soapy water to remove the stain. Use different sections of the cloth to avoid transferring the stain back to the item.
- 4). Sponge the stain repeatedly until the stain breaks down. Hold a clean cloth under running water to soak. Press the cloth to the area to remove the soap residue. Blot dry with a clean cloth.
