How Do I Transfer Music & Photos to an iPod From an iMac?

    • 1). Connect the iPod to the iMac with the iPod's USB cable. The USB end plugs directly into the iMac and the iPod end inserts into the power plug-in on the iPod. Notice that iTunes launches automatically.

    • 2). Select your iPod from "Devices." You will then be able to begin setting up the music and photo transfer.

    • 3). Choose "Music" from the list of tabs above the main panel.

    • 4). Check the box corresponding with "Sync music" then choose to either sync all of your music automatically or only selected items. Check the boxes next to your desired items if you chose the latter.

    • 5). Choose "Photos" from the list of tabs above the main panel.

    • 6). Check the box corresponding with "Sync photos" then choose the desired photo transfer source: iPhoto, Aperture, folder or Pictures folder. All transfer sources except "Choose folder" will then give you the option of syncing all photos or only selected ones. Select your desired photos if you chose the latter. Users selecting the "Choose folder" option will need to manually choose a photo folder from a pop-up file dialogue window.

    • 7). Choose "Apply" to transfer music and photos from the iMac to the iPod.
