How to Fill in the Corner Cracks

    • 1). Remove any loose pieces of drywall or plaster from the corner by hand, and smooth it out with a piece of fine-grade sandpaper.

    • 2). Secure any loose corner bead with screws and a drill, fastening the corner bead to the wall framing.

    • 3). Fill in the cracks with joint compound, using a putty knife to apply the compound, and allow it to dry.

    • 4). Sand the joint compound with a fine-grit sandpaper so the filler is smooth on the wall.
