- 1). Pour one cup of cold or lukewarm water in a pot. Add two tablespoons of ground cinnamon.
- 2). Peel an orange and chop up the peel into smaller pieces -- the size and shape don't matter. Add the peeling to the water and cinnamon.
- 3). Bring the mixture to a boil on "High." Reduce the heat to "Medium" and allow the scent to waft throughout the house. You may need to add water periodically to keep the mixture from scorching.
- 1). Place a funnel in the top of a clean spray bottle and pour 1/4 cup of baking soda into it. Fill the rest of the bottle with hot water.
- 2). Insert the sprayer apparatus into the neck of the bottle and screw it on tightly.
- 3). Spray the mixture in areas that need deodorizing -- such as pet areas. Be sure to lightly mist and not saturate.
