- 1). For Mac OSX, use iPhoto. iPhoto is Apple's standard system photo software, and unless you select otherwise, it should open automatically when you plug your iPhone into your Mac's USB port. Open iPhoto, select your desired photos by clicking on them, and click either "Import Selected" or "Import All," depending on whether you want to move all of your photos or just some of them. Your photos will then save to your hard drive.
- 2). For Windows, access your photos under "My Computer." When you plug your iPhone into the USB port, your PC will recognize the device as a camera, and will include a camera icon along with your iPhone image in the "My Computer" folder. Click the icon and then save your photos by dragging them to the folder(s) of your choosing.
- 3). Send your photos wirelessly. You can transfer the photos directly to your computer from your iPhone by sending them to your email address. Just select a photo from your iPhone, then click the right-pointing arrow icon on the bottom left corner of the screen. You will then see a series of options. Select "Email Photo" and then enter your personal email address. Click "Send" and then open the email on your computer and save the photo to your hard drive.
