    • 1). Add hot water to the bowl. Dunk the rag. Twist the cloth to remove the extra water.

    • 2). Scrub the bloodstain on the mattress. Push down roughly and vigorously scour back and fourth. Rinse the rag and repeat the process.

    • 3). Pour a capful of carpet cleaner onto the cloth. Rub the rag together to create a soap residue.

    • 4). Apply the cloth to the bloodstains. Wash the stain in a circular motion. Press forcefully and scrub quickly to bring the stain to the surface. Add another dab of carpet cleaner on the rag. Repeat this step.

    • 5). Rinse the cloth. Wring out. Then remove the soap residue from the mattress. Wipe in a circular motion until the soap and blood comes out of the mattress.

    • 6). Dry the spot with the towel. Lay the towel over the moisture. Press down firmly to blot the liquid.
