Using Nero

• 1). Open Nero.
  
  
• 2). Insert a blank CD-R into your computer's CD-RW drive.
  
  
• 3). Select "New Audio CD" from the "Smart Start" menu.
  
  
• 4). Add the desired songs to the CD playlist. When you are satisfied with the contents of the CD, click "Burn" in the bottom right-hand corner of the program window. An options window will appear. Choose the desired burn speed in the drop-down menu, then place a check in the box labeled "Finalize." This will ensure that when the disc is finished burning, it will be mastered like a traditional audio CD allowing it to function in the Montero's stereo.
  
  

Using iTunes

• 1). Open iTunes.
  
  
• 2). Click on "Preferences" from the "Edit" menu in the program toolbar.
  
  
• 3). Click on the tab labeled "Burning."
  
  
• 4). Highlight the "Audio CD" option. Select the desired burning speed from the drop-down menu. Then click "OK."
  
  
• 5). Highlight the "Sound Check" option to have iTunes automatically master the CD. This will ensure that the base volume level is the same for every song on the CD. Newer revisions of iTunes will automatically finalize a CD, but some older versions may require you to select "Sound Check" to properly finalize. When you are satisfied with the settings for your burn session click "OK." You will then be asked to select the playlist you wish to use for the CD. If you already have a playlist ready, select it and click "OK." If you do not have a pre-made playlist, you can create a new playlist, and click "OK" to begin the burning process.
  
  

Using IMGBurn

• 1). Open IMGBurn.
  
  
• 2). Click on "Write" from the "Mode" menu in the program toolbar.
  
  
• 3). Click on the icon that resembles a CD with a musical note on top to select the Audio CD format.
  
  
• 4). Click on the folder icon at the top of the program window to open a file browsing screen. Select any songs you wish to add to the CD from this file browsing window.
  
  
• 5). Click "OK" at the bottom right corner of the program window to create a temporary .CUE file that represents your playlist. This .CUE file will be automatically loaded into the CD burning window. Highlight the "Verify" option on the left side of the screen which will ensure that the disc is finalized. When you are satisfied with the burn settings click the large "Burn" icon at the bottom of the program window. A notification window will appear when the burn is complete.
