How to Get My Songs on Someone Else's iPod

    • 1). Open iTunes and access the Preferences menu. Click the Devices tab. If the box is not already checked, click the box labeled "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically." This will ensure that iTunes does not automatically erase any existing information when you plug in the iPod for the first time.

    • 2). Connect the iPod to your computer's USB port. Wait for the device to appear in the left menu.

    • 3). Click the iPod icon. Check the box labeled "Manually manage music and videos."

    • 4). Click the Music library in the left menu. Click and select the songs you want to move to the iPod. Drag the files to the iPod icon. Wait for the files to transfer to the device. When you are finished, click the Eject button to securely eject the iPod.
