- 1). Apply one teaspoon of ceramic cooktop cleaner to each cool burner area for regular daily cleaning. Briskly rub with a dry paper towel or a ceramic cooktop cleaning pad to remove the debris. Use a clean paper towel to polish the shine.
- 2). Remove heavy soiled and burned-on areas by scraping the soil off with a ceramic cooktop scraper. This type of scraper is made specifically for ceramic-glass cooktop surfaces and it will not scratch the surface. After you remove the heavy soil, clean the burners and cooktop with a paper towel and ceramic cooktop cleaner or use a special cleaning pad and polish with a dry paper towel.
- 3). Clean melted plastics and high-sugar messes made from brownies, fudge or other sweet treats by warming the burner first. Use a ceramic-glass cooktop scraper held in an oven mitt to scrape off the sugar as it softens under the heat. Allow the scraped-off burners to cool down and clean the burner.
- 4). Remove stains and water spots over time. Apply your cleanser as with Step 1. This will not immediately remove light or dark spots and water spots. Clean your stovetop daily, avoiding the use of water, and your spots should reduce over time. Sometimes these spots are also caused by copper-bottom and aluminum pots. These types of pots are not recommended for this type of stovetop.
