- 1). Drive your Corvette until the fuel gauge is on empty.
- 2). Pull into a gas station, turn off the Corvette, and open the cap to your fuel tank.
- 3). Pour a bottle of fuel injection cleaner into your gas tank. Keep pouring until the bottle is completely empty.
- 4). Fill up the gas tank with fuel.
- 5). Repeat every 10,000 miles to keep the injectors clean.
- 1). Start your Corvette and allow the engine to reach the normal operating temperature.
- 2). Lift the hood and prop it open. Pour half a pint of direct cleaner into the throttle body throat. Do this slowly, allowing the engine to pull it through at the same rate you are pouring.
- 3). Turn off the engine and allow it to cool.
- 4). Pour a pint of direct cleaner into a nearly full gas tank.
