- 1). Lay the other floor tile onto the tiling surface first, including any non-corner-cut bullnose tile along the edges of the tiled space until you reach the corner where you require the corner bullnose installation.
- 2). Measure the size of the corner tile needed with a tape measure, taking both the length and width of the space. Subtract the size of the tile spacer from both measurements if using spacers with the floor tile.
- 3). Cut the bullnose tile to fit the modified measurements using a tile saw or tile cutters for ceramic and porcelain tiles.
- 4). Spread tile adhesive used with the rest of the floor, often a thinset mortar or asphalt mastic, over the space left for the bullnose corner tile. Use a notched trowel to spread the adhesive with the flat edge and then to raise grooves in the adhesive with the notched edge.
- 5). Place the tile spacers onto the edges of each adjacent tile bordering the corner. Place the bullnosed corner tile into the space, with the rounded edges facing the outside edge of the tiled space. Wiggle the tile slightly to get it into the final position, with the tile spacers still in place on both sides of the corner and the rounded edges even with the rounded edges of the normal bullnose tile on both sides of the tiling surface.
- 6). Place a carpenter’s level over the corner and adjacent tile to check for level and make any adjustments needed with a rubber-headed mallet to drive the new tile deeper into the adhesive.
