Maintenance of Calphalon Cookware

    Non-Stick Care Instructions

    • 1). Use a lower heat setting with Calphalon cookware than you would with other cookware. Calphalon heats and cools more quickly so it's important to use the correct heat setting.

    • 2). Use plastic, wood or coated utensils when cooking. Using metal utensils can damage the nonstick finish of the cookware.

    • 3). Only wash Calphalon non-stick cookware by hand. Fill a sink with warm water and a squirt of liquid dish soap. Place the cookware in the water and scrub clean with a sponge. Rinse under cool water to remove soap residue. Dry with a towel, or allow to air dry.

    Enamel or Stainless Cookware

    • 1). Use a lower heat setting with Calphalon cookware than you would with other cookware. Calphalon heats and cools more quickly so it's important to use the correct heat setting.

    • 2). Use butter, margarine or oil as a cooking spray. This helps lubricate the cookware and prevent sticking. Never use aerosol cooking sprays in Calphalon cookware. This can leave a gummy, hard-to-remove residue that can cause food to stick.

    • 3). Use metal cooking utensils. However, make sure the instruments are not sharp, as sharp instruments can scratch the cooking surface.

    • 4). Clean the cookware after each use. Rinse the cookware under cool water in the sink. Place in the dishwasher. Add dish detergent and wash the cookware on a regular cycle.
