- 1). Open the email program on your computer, and click the "New Message" icon in the email client.
- 2). Enter your email address in the "To" section of the new message window, and click the "Attachment" button to add an attachment to the email. Locate the Word document on your hard drive, and double-click the document to upload it to the new message.
- 3). Click the "Send" button in the "New Message" window to send the email to yourself.
- 4). Touch the "Settings" button on your iPhone's home screen, and touch the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" tab. Touch the "Add Account" tab, and tap the type of email service you currently use. As of July 2010, the iPhone supports Microsoft Exchange, MobileMe, Gmail, Yahoo and AOL. If you use a different type of service, tap the "Other" tab.
- 5). Enter your full name, email address and password that is linked to the email account you sent your Word document to, and tap the "Next" button. Touch the "Mail" tab to turn on mail synchronization, and touch the "Save" button.
- 6). Tap the home button, and tap "Mail". Tap the email you sent to the email account, and tap the Word document attachment in the email message to view it.
