How to Setup Different Inbound & Outbound Email ISP's

    • 1). Launch your email program and navigate to the account settings window. If using Windows Live Mail, click "Tools," then "Accounts." In the Accounts dialog box, click the account you want to use different ISPs, then click "Properties" to open the Properties dialog box.

    • 2). Navigate to the section of the settings window that contains server information. If using Windows Live Mail, click the "Servers" tab in the Properties dialog box.

    • 3). Enter the new incoming or outgoing ISP's email server information in the appropriate fields. You may need to change server type, login, and authentication settings to match the requirements of the new ISP. If using Windows Live Mail, the incoming server settings are all on the Servers page. You may need to click the "Settings" button on the Servers page to adjust some outgoing server settings.

    • 4). Test the changes by sending an email message to the account, then replying to that message. This tests both the incoming and outgoing server settings.
